Baron Grimstone of Boscobel has had an extensive business and political career in the UK, most notably as Chairman of Barclays Bank and Standard Life Aberdeen, one of the UK’s largest asset managers. From 2020 to 2022, he served as the UK Minister for Investment. Previous political roles include the lead non-executive on the board of the Ministry of Defence and Chairman of financial services body TheCityUK.

Lord Gerry is a graduate of Merton College, Oxford and was knighted in 2014 for public service to defence and business. Previous board roles include Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank and Investcorp, and he has advised the Saudi Arabian, Omani and Bahraini governments.
