BlueFive Capital, among the world's fastest growing investment firms, announced its co-leadership of a funding round for Kling AI, an artificial intelligence video generation company based in China. The round raised approximately $3 billion, the largest single financing for an AI video generation model company, valuing the firm at $18 billion.
The financing was jointly led by BlueFive Capital alongside CPE, Guofang Investment, Tencent, and CITIC Securities. More than ten additional institutional investors participated, including Chinese internet companies Baidu and Alibaba Cloud.
The investment demonstrates BlueFive Capital's focus on foundational technology platforms and its expansion in China following the opening of its Beijing office. The firm has invested in various Chinese technology innovators across robotics, artificial intelligence, and autonomous driving.
Hazem Ben-Gacem, Founder and Chief Executive of BlueFive Capital, said: "This investment represents a significant coup for BlueFive Capital on multiple fronts.
